GENERAL COACHING POSITIONS - AVAILABLE SEASONALLY
Tennessee Aquatics is always accepting applications for Age Group and Senior Age group coaching positions. Tennessee Aquatics is a USA Swimming Silver Medal year round swim program serving swimmers of all levels by offering programs in competitive swimming, Masters swimming, non-competitive swim groups and lessons programs. Tennessee Aquatics is a Level 3 Program in USA Swimming's Club Recognition Program and is consistently one of the top 10 teams at Junior Nationals. The TNAQ club trains at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center and the University of Tennessee Student Aquatic Center and has access to 30 SCY lanes and 18 LCM lanes during the competitive season.
Tennessee Aquatics is looking for individuals who are energetic, knowledgeable, ethical, and able to communicate with parents, fellow coaches and swimmers of all ages. Candidates should be organized, professional and understand the importance of leading by example while inspiring a love for swimming and healthy competition. One must be able to work as part of a coaching team and be or become ASCA Certified Level 1 with applicable certifications (First aid, CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches-required by USA Swimming).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to meet entries, attendance at meets (1 to 2 per month), roster management, coaches meetings, writing/coaching practices, administrative duties with office hours, tracking performance, communicating with parents/conducting parent meetings. Must be able to work in conjunction with other staff to develop progressive season plans that help swimmers develop proper stroke techniques and optimal swim progressions. Coaches are also expected to help grow the team and its programs and help plan and organize team activities/ events.
