The Winchester Swim Team hosts an  annual milk carton/jug boat race called the Mooo-gatta, on Tims Ford Lake, City Park, by Citizens Pavilion. It is open to the public and free.  Grand prize for "Best-In-Show" is $100.  First place ribbons will be awarded for each race category, and the winner of the sand castle/sculpting contest.  Our 2nd Annual Mooo-gatta is scheduled for 28 July 2012. Registration is 1 May-morning of 28 July 2012. The Parade of Boats will open the festivities at 10:00am.  We would like all participants to show their creations during the Parade of Boats. REgistration is open at 9:00 am.You may register at the Winchester Swim Plex prior to the Mooo-gatta or register in person the day of the event on the lake front. Below you will find the 2012 Rules,2012 Registration Form and pictures from last years race. Best-In-Show will be judged on boat creativity, and crew creativity.  Costumes are encouraged and considered in the judging. All boats must be in compliance with the official Mooo-gatta rules.
