Classes begin August 17, 2015
Level 1: Learn to Swim
This is our entry level group. An athlete need not be able to swim to enter this group. All swimmers must be at least 3 years of age and potty trained. Class sizes are limited to no more than 6 swimmers. Advancement is based on swimmers ability, maturity and at coach's discretion.
Level 1 Group Coaches: Mrs.Pam and Miss Emily
Workout Days/Times: Mon/Wed 4:30-5:15, & 5:15-6:00pm
Athletes in this group focus primarily on learning Freestyle, Backstroke, Competition Starts, and having FUN. Swimmers must demonstrate a legal Freestyle and Backstroke for 25 yards, be certified to perform racing starts, adequate endurance levels, and show readiness both physically and mentally in order to advance to the next level.
Level 2 Coach: Melanie Huffhines
Workout Days/Times: Monday & Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30 pm
At this level a developing swimmer will be taught all four strokes by focusing on stroke technique, competition starts, turns, endurance building, and the introduction of the 100 IM. Participation in swim meets is highly encouraged. Advancement to the next level is based on swimmer's ability to execute all four competitive strokes, swim 200 yards nonstop of any one stroke, demonstration of a level of dedication and maturity, and is based on the coach's discretion.
Level 3 Coach: Melanie Huffhines
Workout Days/Times: Monday-Thursday 3:30-4:30 pm
This is typically for the advanced elementary school age swimmer and some middle/high school swimmers. Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected. Swimmers at this level are focused on mastering all 4 competitive strokes, 100 IM, starts/turns, and distance swimming, and focusing on racing techniques/strategies. Level 4 includes both pool time and dry-land exercises. Swimmers are expected to train at least 3 times per week.
Level 4 Coach: Sue Hiscock
Workout Days/Times: Monday--Thursday: 3:30-4:30 pm, and F 4:00-5:00 pm
Level 5: WST
Group consists of advanced level swimmers. This is a masters level class which consists of both advanced dry land training and advanced swim workouts. Competition at swim meets is expected. Additional pool time is available in the mornings. Please contact Ms. Sue for more information.

WST: M-Th 4:30-6:30 pm, & F 4:00-5:00 pm, Dry-land 4:00 M-Th
Middle School /High School
Group consists of Middle/High School Swimmers who are swimming for the Franklin County and Good Shepard School Systems. Swimmers are required to swim at least 3 times per week and participate in dry-land training. Attendance is mandatory for all FC Swim Team members on Tuesdays.
