Required Equipment

CAPS:  All swimmers will be given a Gators swim cap.  All swimmers are required to wear their team cap and suit at swim meets.  Swimmers may wear other suits and caps to practices.

GOGGLES:  All swimmers are required to have goggles.  Goggles can be purchased locally or through www.swimoutlet.com/goggles.  SwimOutlet has a Goggle Finder feature that is helpful in finding new goggles.  Many of our swimmers do well with the Speedo Vanquishers or Jr. Vanquishers.  They are good, mid-priced goggles that last and they come in a variety of lens options including mirrored which are great for sunny, outdoor conditions.

FINS:  All swimmers are required to have fins.  Fins are used for various reasons and are extremely helpful for learning and improving the strokes.  Many of the fins look exactly the same, so please write your child's name on the bottom of their fins with a Sharpie marker.  Fins can be purchased through www.swimoutlet.com/fins.

With the amount of required equipment, not to mention clothes and towels, you may want to purchase a special swim bag or backpack for your child.  Bags and backpacks are available at www.swimoutlet.com/backpacks as well as many other sports related vendors.

SNORKELS:  All Black Group swimmers are required to have snorkels.  The snorkels that swimmers use for training are NOT regular diving snorkels.  They are specific snorkels meant to be used for swim training and drills.  The snorkels our swimmers need can be found on www.swimoutlet.com/snorkels.
