Summer Practices Start

The Greene County Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the GCST to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared toward challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.
The Black group is for the established swimmer who wants to compete at the highest levels of AAU Swimming. *Black group qualifications include: ALL 4 strokes must be completely legal at all times. Maintain a positive working attitude, respect for coaches, self and team mates including those on other teams!

The Green group will focus on technique and basic racing strategies in becoming a more competitive swimmer. * Green group qualifications include: 3 legal strokes at all times. Freestyle breathing must be consistent and done easily. Maintain a positive working attitude, respect for coaches self and team mates including those on other teams.

The White group is for the beginning swimmer that wants to learn the strokes and skills to become a competitive swimmer. *White group qualifications: Swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards without assistance. The coaches must be in agreement that the swimmer will be capable of swimming when the coach is not in the water. Maintain a positive attitude, respect for coaches and team mates including those on other teams.

The Greene County Swim Team is a nonprofit organization and we rely on parent participation to host our meets. We asked that each family volunteer in some capacity at each home meet and at the various fundraising activities that will be held throughout the year.
