SRVA does one form of fundraising. We host 3-4 meets a year. All parents are required to work at meets as members of SRVA. Every family works, even if you family does not have a swimmer in the meet.
One of the lessons that swimmers are supposed to learn from organized sports is that if everyone does a little, nobody has to do it all. The other lesson that they should learn is that a team is not only a collection of individuals wearing the same uniform. It is a group of people all working for the same goal.
The goal of our fundraising efforts as a non-profit organization is to make sure we have the finances to be able to stay open for business for our youngsters.
Make sure to sign up early to get a job you like so that it is as easy as possible for you doing your chosen shift.
The following is a presentation from a new parent meeting. It provides general information about our team as well as information about volunteering and signing up for swim meets.
