Meet the Coaches!

      Marcos Gonzalez

                                (Head Coach)

Marcos started swimming competitively at the age of 6 and swam all the IM races.  He then went on to swim sprint freestyle at the University of Incarnate Word.  He began his coaching career at the age of 17 and has coached novice level swimmers to collegiate level swimmers throughout his coaching career.  He specializes in stroke corrections and biomechanics of each individual swimmer.  He also holds a NASM certification as well as his USA Swim certifications.  Coach Marcos loves sweets and eating in his off time!





Isai A. Villanueva Betancourt

(Assistant  Coach )

Coach Isai started swimming competitively in High School. While he competed he developed a love for swimming. He began coaching at the age of 16 and excelled as a swim instructor in the swim program at Lifetime Fitness. It was clear that he had a talent for teaching and working with children. Recently, Coach Isai swam competitively at the colligate level with the University of Incarnate Word here in San Antonio and swam at the Mexican Nationals 3 times during his swimming career. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry. Coach Isai enjoys spending time with his family and kitten Musa. 



Josh Baxter Coach Josh

(Assistant Coach) 

Coach Josh started swimming competitively in the 8thgrade when he joined his local neighborhood summer league.  After that he was hooked on swimming made it on his high school varsity swim team.  Towards the end of his high school swimming career he went to Regional Finals with his relay. After high school, Coach Josh started coaching for the Northern Hills Nadadores summer league and ever since he has learned to really love coaching.  He is currently going to Northeast Lakeview to pursue a biology and pre-nursing degree
