Before registering, please contact Jessica Evans (teamadmin@lostcreekaquatics.com or 512-917-2274) to schedule a tryout so a coach can assess your child’s swimming ability and place him or her into a training group. Once you decide we are a good fit, you will be asked to register online.

Training Groups

Note: In the summer, we offer the Silver, Gold and National groups at the Lost Creek Country Club and Cedar Park locations. At Lakeway, we offer the Gold and National groups only. The Steiner Ranch location continues with the Bronze, Silver, and Gold groups in the summer.

LCA offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels--from beginners to Olympic Trial qualifiers and collegiate athletes. It is the goal of LCA to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of their abilities. Individual ages and swimming requirements for each group might vary slightly by location. Group placements are made by the head coach at each location.

Bronze Group: Our Bronze Group is for swimmers who are new to the sport and most have competed in summer league or a structured swimming program. Most swimmers in this training group are 7 to 10 years old. Practice is offered five days each week and swimmers are encouraged to come at least three times per week and to participate in meets. Requirement: Must be able to swim across the pool freestyle and backstroke. Note: This is not a learn-to-swim group.

Silver Group: Our Silver Group is for beginning and intermediate swimmers who are looking to improve their strokes and endurance. It is perfect for younger swimmers who are looking for an introduction to year-round swimming, or for older swimmers who enjoy swimming during the fall and winter but also wish to continue participating in other sports and activities. Swimmers in this group are 9 to 12 years old and have previous swim team experience or have graduated from our Bronze Group. Swimmers in this group can swim all four strokes plus the individual medley and practice every day, in addition to participating in dryland activities, and are encouraged to participate in meets.

Gold Group: Swimmers in the Gold Group are usually at least 11 years old and have previous swim team experience or have graduated from our Silver Group. Swimmers in the Gold Group practice every day, participate in dryland activities, and complete in swim meets, with structured training goals such as reaching a certain time standard or meet.

National (Lost Creek Country Club): Swimmers in the National Group are usually in high school and practice five to seven times a week and compete in meets on a monthly frequency. Morning and afternoon practices are offered and swimmers are asked to commit to a regular training schedule. Swimmers participate in dryland activities that focus on strength and conditioning. Swimmers in this group have structured training goals and compete at Sectionals, Junior Nationals, National, and Olympic Trials.
