SWIMMING - DAY 1 RESULTS
The first day of the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Championships was a record breaking day. Dan Kirkland led the record breaking day with a World Record in the Men's 800 Freestyle in the 70-74 age group. His time of 10:37.71 bettered the existing World Record by 8 seconds. There were also 15 UANA Pan American Masters Championship meet records.

SWIMMING - DAY 2 RESULTS
Records continue to fall at the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships in Day 2.
The day started off with World Record swim by Laura Vaca (Mex) breaking the World Record for the women's 400 IM (65-69) in a time of 6:27.15. Her World Record was followed by Laura Val (US) in the women's 50 Free (65-69) in a time of 29.17. The Men got their second World Record from James Elder (US) in the men's 50 Free (75-79) with at time of 29.87. In addition to these World Record swims 41 UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Meet records were broken.

SWIMMING - DAY 3
There were five (5) FINA World Records broken on Day 3 bringing the total of FINA World Records to 10 through Day 3. Emi Moronuki 25-29 (USA) 200m Backstroke 2:13.19, Fred Ferrooggiaro (65-69) 200m Backstroke 2:39.44, Willard Lamb 95-99 (USA) 200 Backstroke 4:34.73, Richard Burns 75-79 (USA) 200m Backstroke 2:50.25, Laura Val 65-69 (USA) 100m Freestyle 1:04.89. In addition to the World Records there were 42 UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Meet Records.

Records , records , records, continue to fall at the 2018 UANA Pan Amrican Masters Championships. Day 4 added six (6) new World Records to the record book. Emi Moronuki 25-29 (US) 100m Backstroke 1:01.60, Norika Inada 40-44 (US) 100 Backstroke 1:04.70, Laura Val 65-69 (US) 100m Backstroke 1:14.49, Richard Burns 75-79 (US) 100m Backstroke 1:17.17, Fred Schlicher 70-74 (US) 200m Freestyle 2:23.30, Traci Granger 60-64 (US) 50m Butterfly 31.27. Additionally there were 39 UANA Pan American Masters Championships broken

SWIMMING - DAY 5 (Relay Day)
Day 5 at the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships was relay day. One (1) World Record was broken, Women's 200m Freestyle Relay 280+ (Laura Val, Nancy Ridout, Barb Wheeler, Sue Archer (US)) 2:24.42. There were twenty six (26) 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championship swimming relays broken in Day 5.

Seven more FINA World Records were broken on Day 6 at the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Champonionships held in Oralndo, Florida, USA, bringing the total to 23 FINA World Records broken through six days. Koher Kawanoto 35-39 (US) 100m Butterfly 53.65, Emi Moronuki 25-29 (US) 50m Backstroke 28.39, Holly Green-Blair 55-59 (US) 50m Bakcstroke 31.99, Noriko Inada 40-44 (US) 50m Backstroke 29.62, Laura Val 65-69 (US) 50m Backstroke 33.59, Andre Steynberg 60-64 (US) 50m Backstroke 30.63, Richard Burns 75-79 (US) 50m Backstroke 34.45. In addition to the 7 World Records broken there was record breaking 64 UANA Pan American Masters Championship records broken.

Swimming at the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships is on a record setting pace for both FINA World Records and UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Meet records. Day 7 had three (3) more world records. Peter Andersen 75-79 (US) 50m Breaststroke 39.06, Fred Schlicher 70-74 (US) 200m Butterfly, and Laura Vaca 65-69 (MEX) 200m Butterfly 3:06.83. SWIMMING - DAY 8
Records continue to fall on the last day of swimming. One FINA World Record, Dan Kirkland 70-74 (US), 400m Freestyle 5:03.50, and 38 UANA Masters Championship Meet records. After 8 days of competition there were a total of 26 FINA World Records and 307 UANA Masters Championship meet records broken. The 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships concludes their championships with Water Polo. Over 2500 athletes participated in these championships from 46 Countries around the world. This was the largest UANA Pan American Masters Championships ever held. Everyone is looking forward to 2020 when the UANA Pan American Masters Championships will be held in Medellin, Colombia.

OPEN WATER
The 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships shifted to Daytona Beach for the Open Water competition. Daytona Beach is a beautiful venue and 436 swimmers had a great Open Water experience. Swimmers competed in either a 1.5K or 5K Swim.

The 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships came to a close today with the final 2 Championship games to be played later today. Congratulations to all of the podium finishers. We look forward to seeing you in 2020 at the UANA Pan American Masters Championships in Medellin, Colombia

WATER POLO - FINAL DAY
The 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championsihps came to a close with the final Water Polo Championship game. This event was the largest UANA Pan American Masters Championships every held, this event was two (2) years in planning. Event Director, Jillian Wilkins and her staff are to be commended for the work and effort hosting this championship over the past 19 days. Over 39 countries from around the world attended these championships. The athletes participating had a great experience they will not soon forget. It is now on to Medellin, Colombia for the 2020 UANA Pan American Masters Championships.
