Coaches Roles

Coaches' Role
The role of the coaches is to work with swimmers in a positive environment, and to assist the swimmer in achieving their personal goals established by the swimmer and the coach. It is important for coaches to be able to communicate with their swimmers on a personal level, be aware of each individuals goals, and to apply training that will enable a swimmer to reach their potential. Of equal importance is for the coach to help swimmers become and remain motivated to achieve their personal goals, to keep swimmers/parents informed of opportunities, and to base this on the swimmer/coach relationship only. CCAT coaches are expected to remain current with education on techniques, changes within the sport, and all aspects of swimming that effect their athletes.
