Practice Groups



During practices we require that all athletes who wear a swim cap, wear a team cap.  If you don't have a team cap or forget to bring one to practice we ask that you turn your cap inside out so that it is blank.  We are doing this in an effort to put forth a strong team image.

Also we require that all swimmers in the Youth, Junior, or Seinor groups to have their own equipment.  This consists of a pair of fins, kickboard, mesh bag, paddles, pull float, and snorkel.  

Pre-Comp Group

This group is for those beginning swimmers who have finished lessons and want to continue developing the four main swim strokes.  Our goal is to develop a love for swimming and help athletes become more comfortable in the water. Our practice times are Mon, and Wed. from 6-7pm and Sat. 10-11am.

Fundamentals Group

This group is designed to introduce the competitive aspect of swimming.  In this group swimmers will learn how to become efficient in all four strokes and also how to compete in swim meets.  Swimmers will become IMX ready and will gain an understanding of swimming drills, and team work.

Learning to Train Group

This group is designed to get swimmers to achieve State Qualifying times, learn how to set and achieve goals, and develop better skills to be productive team members as well as learn how to use interval training to help progress.  The focus of this group begins to shift from a heavy load of drills to more swimming, preparing swimmers to compete well specifically in the IMX events as well as all other events. Swimmers in this group have shown a dedication to the sport of swimming and a desire to become better swimmers as well as more productive teammates.

Senior Group

This group is designed for our senior swimmers; to help them achieve Sr. State, Sectional, Futures, Jr. National and National qualifying times. Swimmers are expected to attend six practices a week. The focus is designed to develop the base swimmers created in the age group program and refine their swimming to achieve their goals.
