The 757swim Aquatic Center will still have lessons during thunderstorms. It is a grounded facility.
757SWIM Lessons Operation Guide
757swim lessons have been redesigned to meet physical distance and current CDC guidelines. The instructional pool has been reformatted with teaching stations to maximize social distancing.
Instructors will be 3:1 with students in their own lane separated by ropes. Each instructor will have a mesh bag of tools and toys that will remain floating in the water at all times and therefore continuously being disinfected.
*Student check-in located at the front double door
*One adult per swimmer allowed in the facility
*Face mask or coverings are required while on deck
*Swimmers arrive in swimsuit and leave in swimsuit
*No access to locker rooms
*Restrooms are available for emergency purposes
During lessons, teaching tools, and additional safety protocol:
*Chairs will be set out for one adult per student
*Lessons are 3:1 for 30 minutes
*The instructional pool will be set with four distinct teaching sections separated by ropes to be sure each teaching group is separated from each other
*Instructors will wear a face shield
Details of lessons:
*Students will register online choosing day and time. Waivers, and Covid-19 information will be provided during online registration
*Upon session completion students may receive an evaluation and goodie bag
*Instructor dismisses the student from the lesson. Students then go directly to their parent or guardian for a towel and both exit the deck wearing a mask or face covering through the same door as entered in.
