About the Coaches
The Charlottesville Swans are proud to offer the most experienced, well-rounded team of coaches in the Charlottesville area, ensuring the highest quality of training and development for our synchronized swimming athletes!
Samantha Levin Elhart, head coach and founder of the Charlottesville Swans, competed for 4 years with the University of Richmond varsity team, qualifying for Collegiate Nationals and making finals for team and trio. Samantha owns a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and is a certified Reading Specialist with over 10 years of elementary teaching experience.
Courtney Sullivan Ranson is the lead choreographer and co-head coach for Charlottesville Swans Synchro. As a swimmer she competed for 4 years with the University of Richmond varsity team, qualifying for Collegiate Nationals and making finals for team, trio, duet, and solo. Courtney has a Ph. D. and is a licensed physical therapist.
Sofie Ravesteijn swam for NoVa Synchro and is a fourth year student at UVA. Sofie coaches figures and assists with music and choreography for age group swimmers.
Mikaela Voegele swam for the Northern Virginia Nereids, qyualifying for Junior Olympics as the Virginia/Carolinas/Potomac Valley region's top soloist in 2016. A first year student at UVA, Mikaela is joining us a coach for the 2016-2017 season!
Sierra Strickler, a Senior who swims for Albemarle High School is a staff coach for Fairview Swim & Tennis Club and the Charlottesville Swans. Excelling at swimming technique instruction and developing endurance from beginner to elite swimmers Sierra ensures that swimmers work hard to improve!
Suzette Buck, certified Pilates and Core Barre instructor, helps our athletes develop and improve muscle, core strength, and body control!
Michelle Bullock, JO gymnastics coach, leads athletes in tumbling, movements, and and gymnastics skills.
