The Gold group is an advanced and committed training group that will focus on improving on the technical side of the sport along with an introduction into more advanced training sets. Developing a love and passion for the sport of swimming will be a common goal for all Gold athletes. An emphasis will be placed on endurance training, IM sets, use of equipment, introduction to race strategies, goal setting, and strength training in dryland. There will also be a daily emphasis on kicking and technique work.
-For 10/11 year-olds we ask that swimmers in this group have at least four 10 and under A times or be invited to this group by a coach.
-There are no group requirements for 12-14 year-olds in this group.
-10 year-olds in this group will be required to attend at least 3 practices per week.
The Gold Group is offered to swimmers from the ages 10-14 years old.
CYAC Swimming will be offering this group to both our Crozet YMCA location and our Brooks YMCA location.

Practices Offered Weekly:
CYAC Swimming offers the Gold Group 5x 1-hour and 30-minute practices a week. CYAC also offers the Gold group 3x 45-minute weekly dryland workouts. We recommend that the members in the Gold group attend at least 3-4 practices per week.
