The National group is the top training group offered at CYAC. The group will have an advanced training program that will focus on the individuals specific training needs. Swimmers in this group will compete at the highest meet qualified to compete in and are the leaders of the CYAC program. An emphasis will be placed on individualized training, endurance training, strength training, resistance training, race strategies, time management, goal setting, and swimming in college. There will also be a daily focus on kicking and technique work.
-Member of this group must be invited by Coach Mike.
-Members of this group must have a YMCA National time standard OR be .5 per 50 off a YMCA National time standard.
-Members of the group must attend at least 6 workouts per week.
The National Group will be offered to High Schoolers and 8th Graders that are invited by Coach Mike.
The National Group will only be offered at our Brook YMCA location.
Practices Offered Weekly:
CYAC Swimming will be offering the Senior group 8x 2-hour swim practices per week. We will also offer this group 3x 45-minute drylands every week.
Short Course and Long Course Season (year-round).
Monday-Friday Mornings: 5:30-7:30 am* OR 6:00-8:00 am*
Tuesdays-Thursdays Afternoons: 5:00-5:45 pm (Dryland)/6:00-7:00 pm (Swim)
Saturdays: 7:45-9:45 am (Swim), 9:45-10:45 am (Dryland)
*Based upon what time each individual swimmer needs to leave for school.
