Quest's policy on risky behaviors applies at all Quest facilities and property, all practices, all swim meets* and all Quest events, to include travel:
- No member of Quest shall at any time use, have in his/her possession, or distribute tobacco products of any kind. Tobacco products and use include smoking, vaping and chewing. All property and facilities belonging to SwimQuest, to include Deer Run and Evergreen, are tobacco-free areas.
- No member of Quest shall at any time use, be under the influence of, have in his/her possession, or distribute any illegal drugs, illegal substances, or non-prescribed steroids.
- No member of Quest, under the age of 21, shall at any time use, be under the influence of, have in his/her possession, or distribute any alcohol products.
- The possession of dangerous objects or objects banned from or considered inappropriate in a school environment are prohibited at all Quest activities, practices, travel, and functions.
*Areas at meets covered by this policy include the pool deck, the locker rooms, bathrooms, spectator seating or standing areas, stairwells and all areas used by swimmers, during the meet or warm-up periods in connection with the meet to include the team hotel and the team van/bus.
Violation of this policy can result in a wide range of disciplinary actions up to and including immediate dismissal from a meet/team travel (at the expense of the parents) and/or dismissal from the team.
