COVID-19 Team Protocols

The health and safety of swimmers, staff, and families are of utmost importance to WAC. To ensure we have a safe place for our athletes to practice, we request that all members of the WAC family adhere to CDC guidelines. If you have symptoms as outlined by the CDC, please stay home until it is safe to return to practice.

What are some symptoms to look for?

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea

Other signs are symptoms of serious illness. If someone has trouble breathing, chest pain or pressure, or difficulty staying awake, seek medical care immediately.

What to Do While at Practice

WAC conducts practices at two locations, which have specific rules (such as social distancing and mask wearing).

  • The latest guidelines for the WJCC Rec Center can be found HERE
  • While at Kingswood Pool, we require that swimmers follow CDC guidelines while at the pool:
    • Unless you are an athlete practicing in the pool, masks must be worn at all times. This includes while inside the clubhouse and inside the bubble (while up).
    • While outside, if you are not able to maintain a distance of 6 feet from others, masks must be worn.

What to Do if Exposed or Sick

We follow the CDC guidelines if you are sick or are exposed to someone who is sick. These guidelines include how to isolate and quarantine, as well as when it is safe to return to practice.

If you still have questions, please reach out to your coach or a member of the board.

Stay Safe and Healthy!
