Fundraising is an integral part of club operations. WAC relies on fundraising to improve and maintain facilities, purchase training equipment, and subsidize meet costs. Club-wide fundraising activities include a fall raffle (mandatory) and an annual golf tournament.
Do you shop at Swim Outlet? If so, make sure you log in under http://www.swimoutlet.com/swimwac! They will pay the club back 8% of all products purchased. There are no additional mark-ups per this program! You pay the same as you would if you logged in under their main page. This site is great for practice suits, goggles, and equipment! The money earned from this program will go directly towards equipment and other team needs.
WAC fundraising kicks off the fall season with a club-wide raffle. Last year’s raffle raised over $12,000. The raffle is our only mandatory fundraiser. Each family is responsible for selling $100 worth of tickets per swimmer (with a $200 maximum set for families with multiple children). Prizes are awarded to the group level that sells the most tickets. Information on the fall raffle will be provided at the General Club Meeting in early September.
WAC Annual Golf Tournament
WAC hosts a golf tournament each year. Our 2016 tournament was held at Fords Colony golf course. The day begins with lunch at the clubhouse, followed by 18-holes of golf, complete with raffle prizes, tee prizes, and a day of fun with friends!
