Jason started swimming competitively at a young age with MSJA. As a swimmer, he competed in everything from summer league dual meets to Far Westerns and NCS. He was the caption of Mission San Jose High and De Anza College's swimming and water polo teams.
Jason started coaching swimming in 2000 and started coaching competitive swimming in 2003. During his two years coaching Mission San Jose High, the team set 14 conference records, went undefeated in conference competition, and placed top 5 at NCS.
Jason graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology in 2008 and spent time at Hayward Unified School District and IvyMax running after-school programs before coming to WEST.
Since 2013, he's coached Piedmont Hills High, where the team has improved from only 1 CCS qualifier in 2014 to the boys placing 16th at CCS in 2019. The Piedmont Boys have been undefeated in conference competition since 2017 and have won their third conference championship in a row. The Piedmont Girls have set 7 school records since 2014.
Jason started working at West Coast Aquatics in 2013 as a lessons manager, age group coach, and in 2018 as acting aquatics director. He became program director in 2019 and oversaw a restructuring that brought the club back to financial sustainability.
Head Age Group Coach
Coach Natalie began coaching in 2012 for Milpitas Tidal Waves. While coaching for MTW, she volunteered at Independence High and later on coached the swim team and water polo. In 2015, she was the Head Age Group coach for Santa Clara Swim Club in Milpitas and worked as an assistant coach for a performance group.
