STAT - The Stateline Aquatic Team

The Stateline Aqautic Team is a non‑profit organization providing a competitive swimming program for youth ages 5 to 18, from Beloit, Janesville, South Beloit, Rockton and Roscoe for over 40 years, and is a member club of USA Swimming, the national governing body of competitive swimming in the United States. Our goal is to create a team atmosphere that encourages the development of each swimmer, so that children may reach their highest potential in a fun and safe environment. We seek to achieve this goal through the recruitment of the highest quality coaching staff available and through guidance by a strong parent board of directors.

USA Swimming competition is based on age-groups and skill levels, ranging from the youngest age-group (8 and under) and skill level (novice) to membership on the U.S. Olympic Team. USA Swimming’s national headquarters are located at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

USA Swimming’s website is USA Swimming. Wisconsin Swimming's website is Wisconsin Swimming.

Competitive swimming has two seasons: Fall/Winter (September – Feb) and Spring/Summer (April – July). During the Fall/Winter season, STAT holds practice at Beloit College Mondays through Fridays from 6:30-9:00 p.m. During the Spring/Summer season, STAT’s practices begin indoors at Beloit College and move outdoors to Ledges Pool when possible. Summer practices include morning and evening workouts. Practices are not mandatory, but you're welcome to swim every day if you wish. STAT participates in regional swim meets, with dual, invitational, and championship meets held on weekends throughout the two seasons. Meets are also not mandatory, and you may attend as many or as few as you desire.

All STAT practices are supervised by professional swim coaches.

Team Philosophy

The purpose of STAT is to provide the nurturing team environment and leadership to guide athletes toward the maximum development of their ability. The program is centered on promoting high self-esteem and goal achievement through the pursuit of personal excellence and strong education as it relates to their success in training, competition, and life situations. Our program encourages kids to become well rounded and courageous in the face of adversity, in hope they become the leaders of tomorrow. It is our belief that the process of achieving is as significant as realizing the achievement itself. We encourage our swimmers to be the best they can be.

Team Values:

  • Show Up!
  • Do the best you can everyday
  • Respect your teammates, coaches, and competitors at all times
  • Display enthusiasm for the sport
