Lake Geneva Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Lake Geneva Swim Club to offer specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Level 1 (Red): Non-USA / USA Beginner Swim Team

Offering: (non-USA or USA competitive swim instruction)

Monday - Thursday from 6:00-6:30 pm.  SWIMMERS CHOOSE 3 DAYS.  

Required Skills: swimmer can swim 15 yards on their stomach and on their back with flutter kick in a flat
body position

Goals: front and back streamline push-offs; front crawl w/side breathing (1 every 4th stroke, both sides), back crawl, standing racing swing dive; and enable swimmers to swim freestyle and backstroke 25 yards

Equipment: mesh swim bag, kickboard, 2 pair of goggles, & short shoe fins

Meets: I. Squad Meets, t.Squad Meets optional if USA registered.

Level 2 (White) - USA: Competitive Swim Instruction

Offering: (non-USA: competitive swim instruction)

Monday - Thursday from 6:30-7:30 pm.  SWIMMERS CHOOSE 3 DAYS.  

Required Skills: completed Red Group goals

Goals: prepare the swimmer for stamina requirements of next level; master front crawl w/alternate breathing; introduction to breaststroke & butterfly kicks; introduction to breaststroke & butterfly arm movements;
backstroke start, racing dive, and all competitive touch turns

Equipment: mesh swim bag, kickboard, 2 pair of goggles, center mount snorkel & short shoe fins

Meets: I. Squad Meets, t.Squad Meets optional if USA registered.

Level 3 (Blue) - USA: Competitive Swim Instruction

Offering: 5 practices/week

Monday - Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm.  SWIMMERS CHOOSE 4 DAYS. 

Required Skills: has completed white group goals

Goals: swimmers will begin to learn about strategic race planning; continue working and learning stroke technique, be responsible for knowing times off pace clock; learn to take their heart rate; master all touch turns

Equipment: mesh swim bag, kickboard, 2 pair of goggles, center mount snorkel, Finis yellow one dot thumb paddles & short shoe fins

Meets: I. Squad Meets, t. Squad Meets and Champ Meets qualified for.

Senior Group

Offering: 5 practices/week

Monday - Friday from 5:30-6:00 pm Dryland

Monday - Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm Pool

Required Skills: completed all goals and met all requirements of earlier levels; proficient in all aspects
of competitive swimming

Goals: prepare the swimmer for high-level meets; pursuing mastery of technique in all four strokes; continue working on strategic race planning; learning how to monitor and use pace training, tempo training, and DPS (Distance per stroke)

Equipment: water bottle, kickboard, mesh swim bag, 2 pair of goggles, center mount snorkel, Finis yellow one dot thumb paddles & short shoe fins •

Meets: I. Squad Meets, t. Squad Meets and Champ Meets.
