Safety

It is extremely important for all to be careful on the pool deck.  The behavior of the MFSC swimmers is a direct reflection of our club.  It is extremely important that our swimmers adhere to the following rules:

  • There is absolutely NO RUNNING or HORSEPLAY at any time during practice or at a meet.
  • The pool should be entered feet first unless instructed otherwise by the coaches.
  • Swimmers must keep their heads above water and listen to the coaches during practice.  NO talking to peers during instructional times.
  • Locker rooms should be respected:  They should be kept clean, showers should be turned off when not in use, absolutely NO RUNNING or HORSEPLAY.  Privileges can be lost due to incorrect use.  If there is a high school activity, the locker rooms may be locked and off limits to our club members.  In that event, the swimmers can use the bathrooms outside the pool.
  • For swimmers safety, it is recommended that parents come into the pool area to pick up swimmers.  MFSC does not want swimmers standing outside in the dark waiting for rides.
