Volunteering/Fundraising Requirements

The specific fundraising requirements for 2017-2018 are detailed as follows:

A. Participation requirement to be fulfilled regardless of whether your swimmer is competing in the meet or not.

1. Each family must provide one adult volunteer for at least two sessions at the OZ Fall Classic Swim Meet, to be held at the Homestead High School Pool on October 13, 14, 15, 2017. Any family not fulfilling this requirement will be assessed a $50 fee per session missed which will be billed to the member account on October 31, 2017.

2. Each family must also provide one adult volunteer for at least two sessions at the OZ Regional Swim Meet, to be held at the Homestead High School Pool on February 16, 17, & 18, 2018. Any family not fulfilling this requirement will be assessed a $50 fee per session missed which will be billed to the member account on February 28, 2018.

3. Each family must also provide one adult volunteer for at least one session at our Spring Classic Meet, to be held at the Homestead High School Pool May 4 & 5, 2018. Any family not fulfilling this requirement will be assessed a $50 fee for the session missed which will be billed to the member account on May 31, 2018.

 

B. Mandatory Fundraising - The Board of Directors has designated the following Fundraising projects as mandatory for 2017-2018. Currently scheduled projects include:

Swim-A-Long - This is our annual mandatory fundraiser held on May 12, 2018. All members in Session 3 are required to participate. Each athlete is required to raise $75.00.  Members not participating will be billed $75.00 on 5/31/2018.  A percentage of the money collected will be designated for charities.

 

C. Voluntary Fundraising - The Board of Directors has designated the following Fundraising projects as wholly voluntary for 2017-2018. Currently scheduled projects include:

1. Sales of Advertising to be placed in heat sheets at the OZ Fall Classic Meet and the OZ Regional Meet.

2. Spring Flower Certificates (March thru June Sales.)

3. Concession Donations: value of commercially packaged items contributed for concession sales at swim meets (May be items you have solicited as donations from local businesses).

4. Additional Fundraising opportunities will be announced.

Funds received through these fundraisers will be used to offset the operating costs.
