Head Coach, EMAIL

I have been with RFSC since September of 2008, I was an assistant coach until May of 2011 when I became the Head Coach. Before that I was an assistant coach with OMNI swim club from 2004-2008. I have been involved with swimming since 2002; I swam for Tartan High School in Oakdale MN from 2002-2005, during which time I also swam/coached for OMNI swim club. In 2005, I began my undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and graduated with a degree in Mathematics with a double minor in History and Military Science. During my time at UWRF I swam all four years. I have been a serving member of the Army since 2006, and accepted my Commission as an Officer in July of 2009. I have been with various Engineer units throughout the state, and have deployed to Afghanistan (2012-2013) and Iraq (2016) over my career. Currently I am the Company Commander of the 273rd Engineer Company in Medford, WI. I have a beautiful wife, Caitlin, who I married in May 2015. I have an adorable daughter, Amelia, who I am sure you will see on the pool deck on several occasions throughout the season!

Assistant Head Coach

I’ve been with RFSC since 2008- first as a swimmer, and now as a coach! My swimming career started with lessons at four years old, and I’ve been in & around the pool ever since. If I had to pick just one, my favorite event would have to be the 200 IM, but I liked swimming almost every event I tried. I am currently a student at UW-RF, majoring in biomedical science & animal science. When I’m not on deck, I enjoy riding my horses and reading.

Assistant Coach

I have been swimming since I was in fifth grade. I love distance, I swam the 200 and 500 in my high school career. I also was a synchronized swimmer. I have been coaching since 2014.

Assistant Coach

I began coaching at River Falls Swim Club in December of 2017. I started swimming with my dad in the summer at Glen Park pool and was active in swimming lessons year round at the YMCA in Hudson for most of my childhood. Unlike most, I started my competitive swimming career in high school. I immediately fell in love with competition aspect of swimming and began swimming year round for either River Falls High School or River Falls Swim club.

I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in May of 2017 and am currently working towards obtaining a Masters in Education and teaching license for Social Studies. Outside of coaching I enjoy listening to podcasts, trying new restaurants -- especially somewhere with a good brunch menu, weight lifting, and yoga sculpt.

Assistant Coach

I have been with RFSC since September of 2017. I am from Rosemount, MN and I’ve loved being in any kind of water for as long as I remember but I started to swim competitively when I was 12, and then started teaching swim lessons at 16. I was a captain of my high school team my senior year and I was a breaststroker that eventually turned into a freestyle sprinter. I’ve always loved being around my teammates and I hope to spread that energy to this club! I am currently a UWRF student double majoring in biology with a biomedical emphasis and animal science with a companion animal emphasis. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, going to the animal shelter to pet dogs, and watching some good Netflix shows!

Assistant Coach

I have been coaching for the River Falls swim club since October of 2017. I have been swimming since I was 10, starting on a club team in my hometown, and to this day I still enjoy swimming. The past five years have been teaching swimming lessons as well as life guarding in Milton, Wisconsin. I am currently a student at UW-River Falls, and am planning on majoring in Secondary Education. Outside of coaching and school I enjoy going to movies, participating in local theater productions, and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to helping the swimmers grow as athletes, and enjoy swimming.

Assistant Coach

I started swimming when I was a toddler and grew to love the water more and more as I kept swimming. In 2016, I started lifeguarding at my local waterpark. During this time, I also started teaching swimming lessons to all age groups. I especially enjoyed working with the swim team. Now that I am a student at UWRF, I am eager to continue working with youth in the swimming pool.

I love the water--being in it, under it, or around it; pool, lake, or ocean--I'm not picky! I started club swimming back in 1990 and had several amazing experiences from training trips to swimming at State, Zones, and Junior Nationals, not to mention life-long friends. In high school I was a four year WIAA Division I State swimmer, too. While attending the University of Wisconsin in 2000 I started coaching in Oregon, WI--both for their high school and club teams. I also did WIAA officiating for a few years after coaching and was a lifeguard and WSI instructor for 15+ years. In 2017 my daughter started swimming with RFSC which gave me the opportunity to hang out on deck once again!

Assistant Coach

I started swimming lessons at a young age and instantly fell in love with the water. I came to RFSC in 2010 and have been here ever since! Although I like many events, my favorites would have to be the 200 free and the 100 back. I am currently a senior in high school and plan to study nursing in the fall and I also plan to swim on a women's swim and dive team. I met many of current friends through RFSC we have had a lot of fun swimming together. My hope for your swimmers is not only do they grow as athletes but also that they grow in friendships!

Assistant Coach

I have been swimming since 2008 and I absolutely fell in love with the sport! My best events are the 500 Free and the 200 Free, but my favorite events are the open mile and the 1000 Free! I am currently a high school student and hoping to get a scholarship to swim for a college! I don’t get very much free time, but when I do I love listening to music and watching movies! I met some of my best friends in swimming, and that is why I continue in this sport! When I am in the water I just let all my problems go and swim, it is like my escape! I also encourage my younger swimmers to try new things and try their hardest!

My responsibilities include most of the functions of the club outside of coaching. This allows our coaching staff to focus on improving your swimmer’s skills. I have been a parent of swimmers in the club since about 2004. I have spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of this organization since we have joined.
Feel free to email me with questions or concerns - that is the best form of contact for me. I will also be available in the pool office during many of the swim practices if you would like to talk directly.
