Tri-County Gators

Mount Horeb Tri-County Gators

A competitive summer swimming experience for Mount Horeb Residents ages 5-18.  Swimmers receive instruction on stroke technique, race strategies, and are part of a fun and exciting team experience!  Includes 7 dual swim meets with other members of the Tri-County Conference (home and away), a number of Gator socials, end of season awards, and a Gators team swim cap.  Practices and home meets are at the Mount Horeb Family Aquatic Center.  Starts the Tuesday after Memorial Day with the Conference Championships on the last full weekend in July. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 1 length of the pool (35 yards) each of front crawl (freestyle) and backstroke without stopping or assistance.

Practice Requirement:

Gators are expected to participate in three Gators practices per week.  Practices with USA Club Long Course season count up to two out of those three practices.

NOTE: if a swimmer is missing a week due to camp or summer school activities please email the head coach ahead of time as FYI. They will work with you on your schedule. Thanks!

Meet Requirement:

Gators are strongly encouraged to swim in at least three dual meets in addition to the Invite or Conference meets at the end of the season.

The league rules state you MUST compete in 3 dual meets to be eligible to swim in the Conference Meet.

All swimmers competing for points at meets must come from the Mount Horeb school district OR another community that does NOT have a Tri-County Swim Team. The number of exceptions is NOT limited.

If swimmer is from a community with a Tri-County team, league rules state that family is still welcome to participate in practices and dual meets, just not for points.

NOTE on HOME MEETS: Parents are required to volunteer at each home meet if your swimmer is participating. Please see Volunteer Policy for further info.
