Head Coach - Adrian Dinis

This is our top level training group for swimmers who are 13 & up. In the National group, swimmers are expected to make the transition from age group swimming to senior level swimming.  A great emphasis will be placed on racing and race strategy. Swimmers will focus on attaining Sectional and above time standards. Attitude, effort and attendance are heavily taken into consideration when making the move to the Senior group. In addition to have having at least three 13-14 Summer JO time standards, swimmers must be able to complete the following test sets –

10 x 100 Freestyle on the 1:10 base

4 x 200 IM on the 2:40 base

And have 95% attendance

Practices will range from 2.5 to 3 hours and will include dryland training. There will be a minimum of 6 workouts a week with occasional morning workouts offered.  In addition to attending practice, National level swimmers are required to attend competitions that the swimmer and the coach determine are best for that athlete. If an athlete is not able to attend an agreed upon meet, the coach must be notified ahead of time. Swimmers should attend a minimum of 5 workouts out of 7 a week. If a swimmer consistently is not able to meet this attendance requirement, a meeting between the coach, swimmer and parents may be required.

Practice times:

Monday-Friday Dryland 5:15-6pm, In water 6-8:15pm
Saturday 8-10:30am, 3:30-6:45pm
