Plant High Rowing Lessons

Welcome to the Middle School Rowing Registration! The registration process is simple for both new and returning families. You’ll get access to your own private account to view/edit your contact information and current and past class histories. 

To Register:

  1. Select/click on the desired Program below [Blue bar(s) below]
  2. Select the Sub-Program tab.
  3. Select the Class
  4. Click on the Red Class Cost/Days/Times to pick the day and time
  5. Click on the red Register Button

2018 Spring Middle School

***Select the sub program that is appropriate for your experience level.

LEARN TO ROW - MIDDLE SCHOOL:
For students currently in 6th through 8th grade in Spring 2018 WITHOUT previous rowing experience.

EXPERIENCED - MIDDLE SCHOOL:
For students currently in 6th through 8th grade in Spring 2018 WITH previous rowing experience.

Dates: Starts January 9 - May 12
Tuesday's 5pm- 7pm
Thursday's: 5pm- 7pm
Saturday's 11am- 1pm

No Practice:
January: 27
March 13, 15, 17
April 7, 24, 26

**Only practicing on Saturday's in April**



Regattas:
Plant Invite: January 20 at Bypass Canal
American Youth Cup: February 17 at Nathan Benderson Park
Plant Invite: March 3 at Bypass Canal
Tampa Dual: March 24
Southeast Regionals: May 12


Cost:
$175 for Tuesday, Thursday, OR Saturday (1 day/wk)
$350 for Tuesday, Thursday, AND/OR Saturday (2 days/wk)
$500 for Tuesday, Thursday, AND Saturday (3 days/wk)

**For those that chose 1 day per week, for the month of April, all are welcome on the Saturday practices**

Spring regatta fees are $35. Please register separately for regattas.

2018 Summer Middle School Rowing

LEARN TO ROW - MIDDLE SCHOOL:
For students entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2018 WITHOUT previous rowing experience.

EXPERIENCED - MIDDLE SCHOOL:
For students entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2018 WITH previous rowing experience.

Dates:
8AM-11:30AM,
Either 3 days a week or 5 days a week for 2 weeks.
-Session 1: June 4th - June 16th
-Session 2: June 18th - June 30th
-Session 3: July 9th - July 21st
-Session 4: July 23rd - August 4th **

Regatta:
**All experienced athletes will be eligible for the Halifax Regatta, Saturday July 28th. Be sure to register and pay before July 15th if you'd like to participate. Regatta costs will be $50 per athlete.

Cost:
$210 for Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 days/wk)
$350 for Monday - Friday (5 days/wk)

2018 Novice High School Camp

LEARN TO ROW - HIGH SCHOOL:
For students entering 9th-12th grade in Fall 2018 WITHOUT previous rowing experience.

EXPERIENCED RISING FRESHMEN:
For students entering 9th grade in Fall 2018 WITH previous rowing experience.

Dates:
8AM-11:30AM,
Either 3 days a week or 5 days a week for 2 weeks.

2018 High Performance Racing Camp

This camp is for students at any high school, with prior race experience entering 10th through 12th grade in the Fall of 2018. Class of 2018 graduates welcome.

Plant High Performance Camp is designed to provide the high school rowers and coxswains with a comprehensive summer training program. Athletes who select Plant's High Performance summer program will be provided with land and water training, video review, nutrition, conditioning, and race preparation. Coxswains will also have a chance at video review of their skills.

Plant's High Performance Camp will be a challenging experience. The camp will include instruction and racing in small boats (1x, 2x and 2-) as well as "big" boats (4x, 4+ and 8+)

Dates:
July 9 - July 28th

Regatta:
We will be concluding our HP Camp with the Halifax Regatta in Daytona on July 28th. The regatta is not mandatory, nor included. Be sure to register and pay prior to July 20th if you'd like to participate.


Costs:
Regatta $50 per athlete
Camp $175/week or $525 for three weeks
