Delaware Swim Team Lessons
SwimAmerica lessons are available to students ages 3 to adult. The lessons are a station-based program that follows a simple step-by-step format that allows each child to progress at his/her own pace.
Developed by swimming coaches, SwimAmerica is the only learn-to-swim program endorsed by the American Swimming Coaches Association. SwimAmerica is a goal driven, technique-oriented program that focuses on drowning prevention and water safety. All of our staff members must go through intensive training and testing before they are allowed to teach swim lessons. Groups are kept small (no more than 1 instructor to 6 students) in order to make sure that all of our students learn and progress quickly.
Each session is 5-7 weeks in length, and each lesson is 25 to 30 minutes in length.
How is SwimAmerica different form other lesson programs?
- High-quality lessons give your swimmer the skills to swim safely and efficiently
- Lessons are taught by well-trained and tested instructors
- Lesson groups are small in size (4-6 students)
Please read through the Stations Descriptions and sign up your swimmer(s) in the group you think they belong in. An assessment will be conducted at the beginning of the session to determine if swimmers are placed in the correct station.
