Sackville Swim Club Lessons
Swim Lessons 2020-21
The Sackville Swim Club offer lessons from the lifesaving society to the Sackville community and Area. Our programs focus on Swim for Life programs and stresses lots of in-water practices to develop solid swimming strokes and skills. We also incorportate their valuable Water Smart education that will last a life time.

In the event of a lesson cancellation you will be notified by email by 1 PM, it will also be posted here on our website and our Facebook page.
Tentative Calendar for 2020-2021
We will NOT be offering Fall Lessons this term due to limited public access to the Mount Allison Athletic Centre and other restrictions put in place due to COVID-19. All of our fingers are crossed that we will be able to offer a Winter Session in the New Year! We miss all the kids and we hope to see them soon! Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
Preschool 1: They will learn to get in and out of the pool safely. Jump into chest deep water, floats on their front and back, glides on their side. Parents can participate until their child lets them know they can do it themselves.
Preschool 2: They will learn to jump in to chest deep water and use a PDF. They will submerge and exhale underwater and continue to work on their floats. They will glide on their front and back.
Preschool 3: They will recover objects from the bottom in waist deep water. They will work on kicking and gliding throught the water on their front and back.
Swimmer 1: Beginner will become comfortable jumping in the water with and without a PDF. They will work on floats, glides an kicking through the water on their front and back.
Swimmer 2: Advanced beginners will jump into deeper water. They will be able to support themselves at the surface without an aid, learn to whip kick, swim 10-15m on their front or back.
Swimmer 3: Junior will work on 10-15m of front crawl, back crawl, whip kick and dive.
Swimmer 4:Intermediate swimmer will swim 5m underwater and do lengths of front, back and breaststroke.
Swimmer 5:These swimmers will work on shallow dives, surface dives and eggbeater kicks. They will refine their front, back and breaststroke over 50m swims.
Swimmer 6:These advance swimmer will learn more complicated aquatic skills such as stride entries, compact jumps and scissor kicks. They will develop strength and power while they easily swim lengths of front, back and breaststroke.
