  Learn-to-Swim (Registration Open)

Make a Splash is a water safety initiative created by the USA Swimming Foundation.

Duke City Aquatics was the first learn-to-swim provider in New Mexico to join Make a Splash.

We offer two Learn to Swim/Polo programs: Make A Splash & Summer Weekly Lessons.

Year-round lessons are offered thru Make A Splash at West Mesa pool. Classes meet twice a week for 4 weeks, providing a total of 8 lessons per month. Classes have a 1:6 instructor:student ratio and cater to children between the ages of 5 to 10 years-old.  Adult lessons will be offered separately in August from 4:00 - 4:40 MW or TTh.

Summer lessons are offered during June & July.  Summer classes meet for 4 consecutive days and cover the same sequence of skills offered in monthly classes. Classes have 1:3 instructor:student ratio so children can learn at an accelerated rate. Classes suited to children between ages of 3 to 8 years old.

If you have a special-needs child, please contact our program director to ensure proper placement.  Parents are not allowed in the pool during lessons.

Both programs focus on water safety & preparing children to join our Discovery Group.

Registration automatically places students on waiting list.  Spots are reserved when payment (or proof of payment) is received!
