Our Learn to Swim Program is based on the Long Term Athlete Development Model

and introduces children to the sport of swimming through progressive & safe skill development.

Registration Fees

  1. Payment via Credit Card at time of registration is required. For alternate payment options please email jd@reginadolphins.com
  2. A $25 registration fee will be charged for each swimmer/year (September—June) in addition to the class fees.

Special Promotions

  1. Multi class discount of 30% for registration in 2 classes per week (does not apply to intensive sessions).
  2. Swimmers who register for the whole season will receive a $40 discount.

Cancelation Policy

  1. Cancelation prior to Start of Session: Refund/credit on account will be equal to registration fees less $25 admin charge per swimmer. 2. Start of the Session through Week
  2. Refund/credit on account will be equal to registration fees less $25 admin charge and prorated cost of lessons attended per swimmer.
  3. After Week 2 of the Session: There will be no refunds or credit granted

Turtle

 

Pre-requisite: Swimmers MUST be comfortable in the water and getting wet before registering Turtle.

 

Be fully submerged with open eyes, blow bubbles through mouth and nose

Float on Front and Back with an aid

Move from their front to back and back to front

Breath control

Kick with a kick board, noodle and streamline on their front and back

Starfish

Introduction to somersaults

Float on back and front (unassisted)

Streamline on front and back (10m unassisted)

This is a program is for swimmers with an Intellectual or Physical Disability.

This pre-competitive class will provide swimmers with an opportunity to learn swimming technique and to increase their general fitness levels.


 

Summer Swim Camp Registration

These Summer Camps provides a 'step up' from swim lessons. Where necessary swimmers will be separated into smaller groups according to their standards and if needed adjustments will be made. The focus of the Regina Dolphin Summer Camps is on the importance of proper swimming stroke technique, to make your young swimmer as efficient and comfortable in the water as possible.

A typical week includes up to 90mins of training in the pool, a variety of inside or outside activities (weather permitting).

*The only skill requirements are that swimmers must be comfortable in deep water and able to float on their own.

Summer Fitness/Skills Camp

Aerobic Training and Technical skills training for all ages.
(Pre Comp, Competitive and Masters). 1.5hours per day.

Junior Dolphins: Lawson Aquatic Centre

The Regina Optimist Dolphins Learn to Swim Program - the Junior Dolphins (offered at the Lawson Aquatic Centre) is a developmental swim program that introduces children to the sport of swimming and safety in the water through progressive skill development.

The Junior Dolphin Program consists of four levels: Turtle, Starfish, Fish, and Dolphin. Each of the levels has defined skills that must be achieved before going on to the next group.
