Orange Regional Competitive Aquatics Lessons
ORCA Swim Lessons and Rec Teams
Swim Lessons, recreational swim teams and water polo teams are offered through ORCA in partnership with the City Orange. Since 2002 ORCA has provided a wide range of swim classes and lessons for all levels of swimmers. Our program is designed to help students thrive and become competent swimmers while still offering the most convenient, family-friendly structure for parents.
Additionally, ORCA, with its affiliation with USA Swimming, offers recreational swim and water polo teams.
We predominantly serve the City of Orange, Villa Park and its adjoining communities.
See below to register online for swim lessons, the recreational swim team or water polo.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TYPE OF CLASS AND LEVEL FOR YOUR CHILD:
Click on the below tabs for a description of our class types; Semi-Private (4:1), Private (1:1), or Group (8:1 offered only in the summer at El Modena H.S.), and choose which one best fits the needs of your child. When deciding which level to register your child for, carefully match your child's current skill level with the level description. For example, if your child can swim using alternate arms and legs both on their stomach and on their back for about 15 feet, they are ready for a Level 3 semi-private, private or group class. If your child cannot do these skills, they will need to register for a lower level semi-private or private class.
HOW THE WAIT LIST WORKS:
If a class is full, we recommend choosing a different time that is open OR choose the Wait List registration option and we will do our best to try to open another class to accommodate your request IF WE HAVE INSTRUCTORS AVAILABLE TO DO SO.
Summer Recreational Swim Team
The summer recreational swim team offers a great opportunity for swimmers who have passed Level 4 or higher to get more experience, while being taught competitive swimming skills by an experienced coach in a fun, summer program setting without the full commitments required of a competitive program. Practices are offered M-F for a full hour throughout the summer program, and swimmers may come to as many or few practices as they please. Small inter-squad "meets" will be held occasionally on Fridays during regular practice time as the program progresses so the swimmers can experience what it is like to race and show off their newly acquired sills. A sibling discount of $20 will be offered for each additional family member registering for the swim team, and each registering member will receive a team tee-shirt as part of their registration fee.
Summer Recreational Water Polo Team
The recreational water polo team is offered to swimmers who have passed at least Level 4 of our lesson program. This fun program will teach the beginning skills of competitive water polo without the commitment required of a competitive water polo team. One-hour practices are offered M-F throughout the program, and participants may come to as many or few of the practices as they please. Although this is a non-competitive program, fun inter-squad scrimmages will occur as the summer progresses so the participants can better understand the game and show off their newly acquired skills. A sibling discount of $20 will be offered for each additional family member registering for the water polo team, and each registering member will receive a team tee-shirt as part of their registration fee.
Summer Recreational Swim and Water Polo Team Combo
Offered at a large discount for doing both swim and water polo, this combo package is available to swimmers who have passed Level 4 or higher of our swim lesson program. The rec swim and water polo teams are run back-to-back in one hour sessions with a 30 minute break between sessions. Since there is already a large discount for doing both programs, there are no sibling discounts offered with this combo package. All participants will receive a team tee shirt when registering for this package.
