Look for the exhilarating and enthusiastic on deck and you will find Coach George! With 10 years of coaching experience specifically tailored to the Junior level, George brings a methodical yet energetic life to the pool and his swimmers. This year George will be taking on the important role of Lead Coach for the Junior Program, running the Junior Green and Junior Blue groups and overseeing Junior White and Chena Skills. George will also be leading Chena’s Volunteer Coach Program, mentoring and guiding young swimmers into future Chena Coaches. One can be sure that with George at the helm, Chena’s Junior Program will be the solid foundation of our Club, developing today’s Junior’s into tomorrow’s Olympians.

George holds a degree from the University of British Columbia in Civil Engineering and is a certified NCCP Level 1 coach. His previous coaching experience includes 5 years with the Canadian Dolphin Swim Club, 1 year with Chena (2012) and 3 years with Cruisers Aquatics. Outside the pool, George loves outdoor athletics including rowing, swimming, running, cycling, windsurfing, skiing and hiking. If you thought swimming in Deep Cove was cold, try a glacial fed lake half covered in ice!
