Please join us for our second annual Swim-A-Thon. It's a great opportunity to bring family and friends together for some fun while supporting our team.

Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics to Host Official Swim-A-Thon? at CV High School on 10/13/2018.
Event will Raise Funds to Support PEAQ and USA Swimming Foundation

Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics will be holding an official Swim-A-Thon on October 13, 2018 at the CV High School pool. Selected swim times and lap goals are listed on the PEAQ website.

During this Swim-A-Thon, swimmers will have a scheduled time period in which to swim a set number of designated based on age group level. Donors are encouraged to support our athletes by pledging to support their efforts-either via a flat donation, or by pledging a certain amount of money per length that the swimmer completes.

95% of Swim-A-Thon money stays within our PEAQ Swim Club. The funds raised by PEAQ's Swim-A-Thon will be used in part to pay for coach and athlete travel expenses. PEAQ offers its athletes the opportunity to participate in a number of travel meets from the Braun Meet in Ohio to the IMX Extreme Games in Maryland to Junior Nationals in North Carolina. Funds will also be used to cover coaching and pool rental costs. PEAQ has the best coaching staff and facilities in Western Pennsylvania and we want to make sure that doesn't change.

The other 5% goes to USA Swimming to help support national initiatives. The USA Swimming Foundation works to strengthen the sport of swimming by saving lives and building champions?in the pool and in life. Whether they?re equipping kids across the country with the lifesaving skill of learn-to-swim through their Make a Splash initiative or providing financial support to the heroes on the U.S. National Team, the USA Swimming Foundation aims to provide the wonderful experience of swimming to kids at all levels across the country.

Swim-A-Thon? is the only pledge-for-length swimming program recognized by the USA Swimming Foundation. Since 1998, Swim-a-Thons have generated more than $66 million for swim clubs and swim programs across the country.
