Registration Fees

Elite Aquatics Sports Team (EAST) is a year round comprehensive aquatics program.  All families that are part of the Junior, High School or Competitive Programs are asked to register or re-register in September with EAST and USA Swimming and/or USA Water Polo.

Water Polo Players:   the annual fee is $70 and must be paid online through the USA Water Polo website (www.usawaterpolo.org)  Athletes should register as a “Silver” athlete under club EAST, #723 in the Southern Pacific Zone.

Swimmers:  The annual $60 per family registration fee and the USA Swimming fee of $60 is due and payable at registration.  See EAST fee schedule for specific monthly dues.  EAST will offer discounts for additional siblings (no cousins) in the following amounts:

Monthly Payment schedule: 1st additional sibling $10 off; 2nd sibling $15 off; 3rd sibling $20 off.  Trimester Payment schedule: 1st additional sibling $40 off; 2nd sibling $60 off; 3rd sibling $80 off.

* If an Athlete is involved in both Water Polo and Swimming the $60 annual swim registration will be waived.

Team Dues

Dues for the year are outlined in the registration information.  EAST offers three payment options for your family.  Monthly, Trimester, or Yearly with all payments due the first of each month.  If dues are not paid by the 15th of the month, a late fee of $25 will be assessed. Trimester dues are paid in September, January, and May.  Yearly dues will be available in September for returning families.  Families are responsible for dues regardless of swimming time within a said month.  Dues will not be prorated for any reason.

Payment Procedures

EAST accepts payment by VISA or MasterCard and by Check or Cash.  Checks should be made payable to Elite Aquatics Sports Team (EAST) and sent to 20409 Yorba Linda Blvd, #213, Yorba Linda, CA 92886.  Any checks made with insufficient funds will be charged a $30 fee.  If you wish to pay by cash, please contact Beth Diaz at 714-402-7166 or at bethdiaz@eastaquatics.com  to make arrangements for on deck delivery of payment.  For your convenience, dues can be auto-billed monthly, trimester or yearly with set up on the EAST website at www.eastaquatics.com .  We can also accept recurring payments for your convenience.

We highly recommend this form of payment.

Past Dues Policy

If dues are not paid by the 15th of the month, a late fee of $25 will be assessed.   If a family’s dues are delinquent for a period of 1 month (30 days) and the family is currently being billed for a second month, their athlete will not be allowed to participate in the program until their account balance is zero.

A family whose dues are delinquent for a period greater than 1 month (30 days), the family will have 15 days before further action may be taken against them to bring their debt to a sum of a zero balance.

If a family is paying by check and allows their dues to lapse into delinquency twice within a swim season, they then must present a credit card from which EAST will automatically deduct their monthly dues.

Written notice by either mail or email of intended leave of absence or termination of membership must be submitted 30 days prior to the leave in order to be effective on a given date.

Other Expenses

Meet/Tournament Escrow Account

In order to simplify and streamline the Swim Meet/Tournament Entry process, the club maintains an Escrow Account for each family with registered athletes.  The EAST coaching staff will enter your athlete in all swim meets and tournaments on your behalf and this amount will be deducted from the escrow account.  If you declare to participate in any meet or tournament that the coaches have entered you in, the club cannot refund entry fees for any reason if the athlete does not participate.  Team entries are submitted to the host team based on your declaration 10 days prior to the meet or tournament start date, and once the team check has been issued all entry fees are non refundable.

If you have any questions regarding the billing policy or your account balance, contact Beth Diaz by phone 714 402-7166 or email bethdiaz@eastaquatics.com.

Apparel Policy

Team Apparel Policies

Elite Aquatics Sports Team is an Arena sponsored program.  This means that Arena partners with EAST in various ways.

The EAST uniform is an Arena brand Royal blue EAST logoed swim suit and is expected to be worn in all competitions, along with Arena Warm-up suits and EAST Team apparel.

Our water polo athletes will use suits in accordance with all FINA and USA Water Polo regulations.  For team suit information and ordering,  please contact Beth Diaz at bethdiaz@eastaquatics.com

All EAST athletes are also expected to wear the EAST team swim cap for warm ups, competitions, games and tournaments.

You may wear appropriate training swimwear of your choice for daily workouts, however, females are required to wear a one piece training suit at all times.

Elite Aquatics Sports Team is in accordance with all FINA and USA Swimming rules regulating competition suits, which states:

1. Swimsuits for men may not extend above the navel or below the knee and for women may

not cover the neck or extend past the shoulders or below the knee;

2. Material used for swimsuits can be only textile fabric which is defined as materials consisting

of natural and/or synthetic, individual and non-consolidated yarns used to constitute a fabric

by weaving, knitting, and/or braiding;

3. No zippers or other fastening devices are allowed except for a waist tie on a brief or jammer.

Many of the swimsuits manufactured are no longer allowed under the new rules and care should be taken when purchasing a suit to ensure it does meet the new requirements.

In addition, Southern California Swimming rules dictate that all male suits worn at SCS Age-Group Meets shall not extend above the navel.

The suit policy may sometimes change based on international rules governing suit technologies and all EAST members will be made aware of such changes.

If you have any questions, please talk to your coach.

Move Up Policy

Move Up Policy for Swimmers

Group placement is based on many factors. The goal of every coach with EAST is to give each child the opportunity to improve their swimming skills. However there is a team wide philosophy that drives group placement decisions.  In communicating these ideas, we hope there is a better understanding of the coaches decisions.

Some of the most important factors driving group placement are the following:

*  Commitment (practice attendance, meet participation, priority of the sport)

*  Maturity (chronological age, physiological age, and emotional development)

*  Training ability and technique

Racing times are not a primary factor for group placement, although they may be an indirect factor as racing times translate to meet qualification and training needs.  Therefore along with performance improvement comes the opportunity to advance in the EAST program to even more competitive challenges.  In no way does group placement communicate the coaches’ belief about a swimmer’s potential.  Your coach is the individual best able to assess a swimmers readiness to make this next step.

Moving through the competitive groups require a particular level of participation and performance.  The Junior is a beginning point for swimmers and require minimum expectations centering on development of swimming skills and training habits.  When a swimmer is capable of meeting the expectations of the next level, in regards to skills and required number of practices per week, they will then be invited to move into the Bronze then Silver group.  For moving into the Gold group, swimmers are evaluated on qualifying times along with their ability to meet the training requirements.  The coaches will determine the minimum level of training skills that need to be mastered to be considered for each group.  Minimum requirements are listed below:
