This is our entry level group mostly made up of new swimmers. The goals of this age group is to learn all four competitive strokes through drills and other instruction, learn starts, turns, and have an introduction to swim meet procedures.
Bronze Group Coach: Jen and Stacey
Workout Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday from 3:00-4:00. Fridays 2:00-3:00
This is our second training group. Athletes transition from Bronze and move into the Silver group. Athletes in the Silver group will continue to focus on perfecting stroke technique, starts and flip turns. A greater emphasis will be placed on increasing endurance, and the competitive nature of swimming. Dryland workouts are introduced in this squad.
Silver Group: Jen and Stacey
Workout Days/Times: Tuesday and Thursdays 3:00-4:30 and Fridays 3:00-4:00
From the Silver group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group are at least 10 years old and have spent considerable time in the Silver group. This group is exposed to higher intensity training, while continuing to perfect stroke technique, flip turns and racing starts. This group will be participating in dry-land exercises in addition to more intense in-the-water training. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month.
