This is our entry level summer group. An athlete needs to be able to swim half the length of the pool to enter this group. There will be 2 coaches per 8 kids. One coach will remain in the water with the kids. The 2 main strokes, backstroke and freestyle, are developed in this group, with an introduction to butterfly and breaststroke. During the summer GRPA season May-July this group is encouraged to swim meets.

Minnow Group Coach: Katelyn Seymour
From the Minnows group, athletes move into this group. This group has a summer and fall program. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. USA Swim meets will be introduced and children are encouraged to attend at least 1 per season. All GRPA meets are strongly encouraged during May-July. At least 1 USA meet is encouraged during the Fall and Winter.Equipment Needed; Fins available from our Team Store.
Red Group Coach: Katelyn Seymour
From the Red group, athletes move into this group. This group is offered for year round swimmers , but also those in the summer and fall programs. Athletes in this group are usually at least 8 years old and have completed the Red Group move-up skills list. This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for the 200 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley races. Competing at USA swim meets is expected at a rate of about once per month. Equipment Needed; Mesh Bag, Swim Fins, and Paddles available from Our Team Store.
White Group Coach: Lindy Bengston and Katelyn Seymour
Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Endurance work takes on equal importance of technique work for the first time in the athlete's development. Athletes in this group train for all events including the 500 Freestyle. Silver Group Coach: Lindy Bengston and Dustin Bengston
Athletes entering the Gold group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Equipment Needed; Mesh Bag, Pull Buoy Swim Fins, Paddles, Alignment Board and Training Snorkel.
