Here are some frequently asked questions regarding our swim lesson program. If for some reason you can't find the answers to your question(s) please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 309-370-5630
- How do I sign up for swim lessons?
Click on the Sign Up for Lessons tab on the top tool bar and follow the steps on that page.
- How much do you charge for lessons?
The price for lessons varies on the class selected. To find the cost for a particular class, select the class in the registration section.
- How will I be billed for swim lessons? Will I be billed extra if my class is offered 5 times in a month? Will I be charged for classes canceled due to holidays?
For the monthly sessions, upon your initial registration, you will be billed for that month of lessons. You will then be billed automatically on the 1st of each month until enrollment is withdrawn.
During the course of a calendar year, your child will usually receive 4 lessons per month. However, your child will occasionally receive 5 lessons per month. The cost for these occasional extra lessons are factored into the monthly cost so your rate will be the same each month. If we have to cancel a lesson due to a holiday or home meet, and your class is not offered four times that month, your bill that month will be prorated and you will not be charged.
For the summer sessions, upon your initial registration, you will be billed for the session you sign up for and any subsequent sessions thereafter.
During the course of the summer, we will offer several sessions. Beginning with our first session, we will have 4 summer sessions to accommodate all who are interested in superior swimming lessons. If we have to cancel a lesson due to a holiday or home meet, and your class is not offered as a result, your bill that month will be prorated and you will not be charged for the class missed.
- How do I know what class to sign my child up for?
A detailed description of our programs and our levels can be found on our program page. All new swimmers will be evaluated on the first day of class to determine their level. If you are unsure, we recommend signing up for a lower level class, as it is always easier to move the swimmers up to a higher level than move them down.
Click here to visit our Programs page.
- Do parents need to be in the water with their child?
The only class in which a parent or guardian must be in the water with their swimmer is the parent-tot class. Other than the parent-tot class, parents may not enter the water with their children. At all of our facilities, there is a seating area for the parents and families to watch the classes and support their swimmers.
- What do I need to bring to class?
The only necessary things to bring to class every day is a swimsuit and towel. There are changing rooms at all of our facilities for swimmers to use. Swimmers do not have to wear goggles, and we do not recommend them for our Parent-Tot, Beginner, or Level 1-3 classes. Goggles can be worn in the program once a swimmer reaches level 4.
- Do you offer private/semi-private lessons or swim clinics?
Yes, we do offer private and semi-private lessons in addition to stroke, start, and turn clinics. To schedule a private lesson, or inquire about availability and pricing, contact us
- Do you offer multiple family member discounts?
We do not offer discounts for multiple family members.
- Do you offer make-up classes?
Make-ups will only be held at the discretion of the Program Director, and only due to weather-related issues or unforeseen circumstances. All make-ups must be completed within the week following the canceled class. Make-ups for all other reasons will not be approved, as maintaining class ratios is of utmost importance.
- Do you offer refunds?
Once you are enrolled, refunds are only offered for medical or family emergencies that keep the student from attending the class.
- Do you prorate for canceled classes?
We will prorate for cancelled classes ONLY if the class cancellation drops the amount of classes offered for the month down below four.
