IceStars synchronized skating program develops athletes who uphold good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for one another on the journey to achieve excellence.

IceStars Synchronized Skating is a member of Cutting Edge Figure Skating Club and the official synchro team of the RecPlex Ice Arena.  Our team members range in age of 6 years and up; skaters will be competing in Michigan, Illinois and some teams will travel to Kansas for the 2017-2018 season.  It is the goal of the IceStars SST to offer level specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing competitive teams year after year.

What is synchronized Skating?? It is one of the fastest growing disciplines of figure skating. It is a team of 8-20 skaters and characterized by intricate formations and maneuvers, difficult footwork, changing hand and arm holds, deep edges, sharp changes of direction and absolute uniformity. Synchro requires grace, speed, endurance, agility, and rhythm.

The IceStars is a volunteer, fundraising and sponsorship driven program.  Synchronized skating is a competitive team sport that requires a lot of travel and of course, a lot of training.  Our goal is to stay strong and competitive so our income efforts and volunteers play a major part in keeping costs down so that our skaters remain in our program for years to come.

Please support our wonderful sponsors, we grateful and appreciative of their continued support!!  Do you know of any potential sponsors?  If so, please refer them to Angela Moreno.
