The BAC Barracuda Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Barracuda Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Beginner

The goal of this group is to be able to swim 1 length of the pool in competition. Swimmers will be introduced to the 4 competitive strokes, begin to develop endurance and strength to compete in the 4 strokes, learn a racing start, and gain an understanding of how to compete in swimming. This groups tends to be mostly new and younger swimmers.

Workout Days/Times: Monday and Wednesday 5:30-6:00

Fee: Member $60 Non-member $110
 

Developmental

This is a drill based practice group to introduce the structure of competitive swim practices. The goal for this group is to master the 4 competitive strokes as well as starts and turns. Swimmers in this group should have a basic understanding of Freestyle and Backstroke and be able to complete a 25 yard pool length in each stoke. The ages for this group will vary and be based on swimmer ability levels. 

Workout Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4:30-5:30

Advanced

This group is for swimmers with a strong desire to swim competitively Focus will be on refining stroke technique, building endurance, team unity, and preparing for high level swimming. This group will build on  existing skills to learn race strategy, goal setting, and training for competition. Typically this group is comprised of but not limited to swimmers in middle school or older swimmers.

Workout Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:00-4:30  

Fee: Member $90 Non-member $140

Elite

this group is for experience swimmers whose main focus is swimming competitively in meets abd developing the proper attitude toward competition, and constant personal improvements. Proper nutrition for athletes and dry land conditioning are an important part of training in this group. Swimmers should be able to compete for 100 yards in each of the 4 competitive strokes and swim a legal 200 IM to be in this group.

Workout Days/Times:Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:00-4:30 Tuesday, Thursday 5:30-6:45a.m.
