The Swordfish Academy is an introduction to swimming program for 5th and 6th graders each Spring. The program was created to introduce kids to the sport of swimming.
Our coaches will focus on teaching the kids correct and proper technique for swimming. Correct and proper technique ensures that the kid is efficient in the water and is also minimizing their risk for future injuries. The coaches will also create a healthy and fun environment for the kids in order to encourage a great love for the sport.
By the end of Swordfish Academy, the kids should be prepared to enter our Sedona Swim Team and continue to learn more about the sport and the life long benefits of swimming.
Swimmers will swim Monday and Wednesday, 45 minutes each day for 8 weeks.
The fee for Swordfish Academy is $50.
The Academy is open to the first 20 students to return their application, medical release and $50 to the school secretary at West Sedona School.
Please bring swimsuit, towel and a water bottle, everyday.
The Sedona Swim Team will provide goggles and caps.
