Frequently Asked Questions for Registration:

How old do swimmers need to be?  Ages 5- 18 years.

Do we need to live in Lantana to be on the team? Yes, the parents/guardians of the swimmer must live in Lantana, TX and we require utility bill for verification, if needed.

What are the requirements for making the team?  New swimmers to the team must be able to swim 25yds without assistance.

Do you offer refunds? If you determine that swim team is not for your child, we will offer refunds the first 2 weeks of practice only. 

Do I need to stay for practices?  Yes, if your child is under 10, we recommend you stay with your child. 

What if I'm going to miss some practices or a swim meet?  Can I still be on the team? Yes, we understand that there are family vacations, vbs, and other camps to attend during summer.  This league is a summer league and is somewhat relaxed!  Attend what you can and if you have to miss, we understand!

When do we begin?  Practices begin May 24 for new swimmers, June 1 for returning swimmers.

When do we end?  July 13 is the Championship Meet 

When are practices while school is in session? We will be practicing after school Monday thru Thursday until last day of school.  Hours are tbd, but the hours for last year were:

4:00-4:45 - 5&6 yrs
4:45-5:30 - 7&8 yrs
5:30-6:15 - 9&10 yrs
6:15-7:00 -11&over

When are practices during the summer?  We practice M-F (except on days of meets.)  We think the practice times will be 7:45-8:35 am and 8:45-9:45 am.  We will know the pools and the break down of times once we have a good estimate of age groups numbers.

When are meets?  Well, check out our schedule and you will know!  Mostly Monday's though.

What league does Lantana Lightning swim with?  Swim North Texas  swimnt.com

Cost?  $175 plus the cost of the suit

What is included with the cost?  Each child will receive a Lantana Lightning team shirt and one swim cap.  Please know the swim caps can break if mishandled.  An additional cap is available for purchase if your child breaks their cap.
