We cannot thank you all enough for the love and support!

We have swim programs for all ages & abilities at the Eastern Shore Aquatics Center (10580 County Rd. 64, Daphne, AL). Our center is privately owned and features two indoor, heated pools.

  • Ages 3 and up learn to swim like a fish in our lesson program.
  • Ages 5 and up have a great time in and out of the water with SWAT, our year-round team.
  • Ages 5-18 take a bit out of boredom every May - July in our summer league (ESP) program.

Any time is the right time to swim, so make a splash & sign up today!

Feel free to contact Coach Rich Suhs (251-300-0820 / [email protected]) with any questions you may have.

See you soon!

Owner / Head Coach: Rich Suhs

Coach Rich Suhs is the owner of the Eastern Shore Aquatics Center and head coach of the Southern Waters Aquatic Team (SWAT).  In addition to the USA Swimming year-round program, Coach Suhs is pleased to offer various swim programs at his facility.  He has over 30 years of swim coaching experience, including many years of experience as head coach of several successful swim teams.

Among Coach Suhs’ accomplishments are numerous nationally recognized Coaches Awards.  His fellow coaches have honored him as Coach of the Year several times, and he was selected as Zone Coach in Michigan.  Throughout his tenure, he has also coached several nationally ranked swimmers.

Coach Suhs has a history of developing successful swim programs and swimmers.  His approach to coaching involves setting specific goals for every swimmer and monitoring them every time they swim.  He has a record of accomplishments with both senior and novice swimmers.  He believes that every swimmer can accomplish more than they believe is possible.  As a result, he has taken swimmers beyond the Southeastern level into the national realm of competitive swimming.

SWAT is offered by the Eastern Shore Parents Aquatic Foundation, Inc. (ESPAF), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide amateur youth athletes of all abilities with the opportunity to succeed and grow through the pursuit of excellence in the sport of swimming.
