Interested In Joining Our Swim Team? We Make It Simple To Get Started!

Perhaps your son or daughter just graduated from swim lessons. Maybe they are looking for a fun, healthy after school activity? They might want to consider joining our swim team. No, you do not have to swim as fast as Michael Phelps to join. If your son or daughter is five (5) years of age or older and can successfully swim one (1) length of the competitive pool without stopping or with any need for assistance, we have a place for them on our team.
How Do We Tryout?
Simple. Feel free to stop by the pool anytime we have a scheduled practice (please check website for closures and changes). One of our coaches will ask your child to hop in the pool so we can assess their skill level. Armed with that information, we can place your child in a training group that fits their developmental stage in the water. Please bring your suit, a towel and goggles, if desired. No appointment needed!
Swimming is an important life skill. Drowning is the leading cause of death in your children here in the State of Florida. Being a strong swimmer is essential for all residents, children and adults. Joining the team gives your child the confidence and skills needed to be better prepared for all of the aquatic activities we enjoy here in Florida.
Swimming is a healthy activity. Too many of today’s children lead sedentary lives. Swimming forces them to disconnect from the web and learn great interpersonal skills; all while getting in amazing shape.
Swimming is fun! When you become a member of the swim team, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make new friends and have fun. Many swimmers make life-long friendship in the water. Swimming is cool in the summertime and warm in the winter. At Blue Wave, we go out of our way to ensure that each child has the best experience possible. A happy swimmer is a fast swimmer!
