Registration is Open for Masters Swim
Masters Schedule Updates:
Friday November 10--no Masters due to holiday schedule at SU.
REGISTER/SIGNUP: Please contact the team registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for Masters. By swimming with CAAT Masters, you agree to these terms and conditions, as amended from time to time. You can register online here (click the "register online" button to the far upper right once you click on this link).
Fees: There is an annual registration fee of $35.00 for the 2017-18 season (the fee is the same regardless of when join during the year). This fee is waived if you have already paid the annual CAAT Registration fee as part of the age group program. Monthly dues are $72.50 per month. You must set up "autopay" (either a credit card or your bank account). Credit cards will have a 3% processing fee added to them.
Withdrawal/Suspension: If you would like to withdraw from the Masters program (or suspend on a temporary basis), please notify email@example.com and/or firstname.lastname@example.org by the 15th of the month PRIOR to the month you want to suspend (so, for example, February 15 for a March 1 effective suspension).
NOTE: Masters do not have a volunteer or fundraising obligation. That is for the regular swim team. If you want to donate to CAAT, we are a 501c3 and we'd love your support. 1. USMS Registration Required: US Masters Registration: You must register with US Masters Swimming to participate. Register for US Masters at this link: PNA-Masters Swimming Registration. (www.swimpna.org is the local masters website for all area masters swimmers).
Helpful details for Registering with US Masters Swimming: Your LMSC is PNA. Your local Club is Puget Sound Masters (PSM) and your workout group is CAAT.
(Tip: If you are registered with a different workout group, that's fine. Masters encourages swimmers to workout with different groups.) Your workout group is not significant to your registration until we are at the point of swimming for team points at the April Champs meet. What IS important is your USMS registration renewal and getting your USMS number!
2. Seattle University Athletic Waiver: SU requires all participants to complete a waiver. Find the waiver here.

Masters Coaches: Coach Kieran Schaefer leads the Masters Program, along with Coach Karla Ruff. email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. These coaches are part of the coaching staff for the entire program.
Masters Program Information
Any interested person aged 18 and older can become a masters swimmer. CAAT Swim Team offers a masters program with coached workouts 5 days a week at Seattle University's pool. Workouts are 6:10-7:10 AM. The Seattle University Connolly Center: 550 14th Ave, Seattle, Washington 98122. We can enter the facility at about 6:00 AM for the 6:10 am practice.
Our Program: We are a diverse group of swimmers that includes tri-athletes, 'meet' competitors, fitness swimmers and newer masters swimmers looking for conditioning and stroke instruction. CAAT's philosophy as a team is to teach good stroke technique and masters is no exception. We have themes for each day of the week to offer swimmers a chance to chose days that meet their personal swimming needs. We have about 55 swimmers on the roster and generally have 25 in the water each day.
One Week Try Out: We offer new swimmers an opportunity to 'try us out' for a week. (Can be a 'rolling' week). Join us for a try out by: 1) contacting our Registrar at email@example.com, 2) completing the Seattle U Waiver form and bringing it to the pool and 3) either registering for US Masters Swimming and providing your registration number to the Registrar OR, sign up and complete the US Masters registration form on deck with our coach. YOU MUST BRING THIS WAIVER FORM.
Entering the Seattle U facility: You'll be asked to show a picture ID. And provide a signed waiver form to the front desk. Waivers are available on the Masters tab under Registration. Then you may enter the facility; go upstairs to the pools. The entrance is on the south side of the building--there are doors off the parking lot that will be open at 6 a.m.
Workout Themes: CAAT Masters has a theme for each day of the week. This allows swimmers to participate for the workout focus they want to chose.
Mondays and Tuesdays: Distance/Middle Distance; Wednesday: 2-3 lanes devoted to a stroke clinic; Thursdays: Individual Medley/non-free stroke work and Fridays: Fast Friday!
