Tuesday and Thursday will focus on drills and dryland. Friday will be racing and games.

The Silver group will continue the focus on proper technique and efficiency in all four strokes.
|
Aerobic and IM based training will be introduced in this group. Swimmers will learn to do
|
interval based sets. Race strategy, break-outs, stroke rate, stroke counts, breathing
|
patterns and underwater training will all be introduced. Attending swim meets when
|
there is not a family conflict is expected. Swimmers in Silver will begin to decide if they
|
want to dedicate themselves to swimming and advance to Gold group. Goal setting will be done
|
with each swimmer.

The Gold group will continue the focus on proper technique and efficiency in all four strokes.

All sets will be done on intervals. All energy systems will be challenged in training.
|
Break-outs, stroke rate, stroke counts, breathing patterns, and underwater kicking will all be
|
mastered. Swimmers in Gold have dedicated themselves to year-round swimming.
|
Goal setting will be done with each swimmer. Swimmers will be expected to swim doubles
|
in the summer with between 8 and 9 practices per week.
