2017-2018  Sponsorship Campaign

The Business Sponsorship Campaign is an annual event held between September 1st and December 15th.  The focus of the program is to attract businesses as sponsors of the Regina Dolphins. Our goal this year is to raise $60,000 in sponsorship dollars from local businesses.  This represents about 6.5% of our operating budget.

Why Sponsor the Regina Dolphins?

The Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Club is a registered non-profit organization.  We are a competitive swim team with some of Canada's top age group athletes, so competitive swimming is an important aspect of the club and a large percentage of our budget is attributed to our competitive program. But we are much more.  We offer programming and services to more than 1,000 swimmers in Regina and surrounding area.

  • "Competitive Swimming" - more than 100 swimmers train 10 to 25 hours a week and represent the city of Regina at more than 20 different events including provincial, regional, national and international meets.
  • "Learn to Swim Program" - Over 700  children between the ages of 3 and 9 learn water skills, nutrition and fitness.

  • "Varsity Swimming" - the Regina Dolphins serve as the administrators for the University of Regina Varsity Swim Program.  In this role, we assist with fundraising for program including the Cougar breakfast.  The goal is to attract and retain high caliber swimmers at the varsity level.

  • " High Performance Program" -  with a focus on ensuring the funding and programming is in place to allow swimmers to remain in Regina to train to achieve their Olympic dreams.

  • "Swim Meet Sponsorship" - three swim meets will be hosted by the Regina Dolphins in 2017-18.  Approximately 200-400 swimmers will attend each event.
