Registration for lessons at South End and Miraleste is now open. The Summer session will begin on June 19. Miraleste only has the 1st four weeks showing. The remaining weeks of lessons will be complete by soon. You have to register for lessons at Miraleste two days before class starts to be guaranteed a spot. MWF classes and TTh need a registration by Saturday. If you would like to add a class that isn't showing please text Jeff at (424)901-3702.
Registration for South End lessons are done by paper. Pick up a copy at South End, fill it out with payment and turn it back into the front desk. You can also use this link to directly download a form:

There are a lot of class options showing on the registration page for Miraleste lessons. I wanted to break things down here, so it will be easier to navigate the ZAP site. There are 8 one week sessions for Summer - week of June 19, June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31 and August 7. There are 3 class days you can chose - M/W, M/W/F or T/Th. Stations 1, 2 and 3 classes are offered on the above day combos at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm. Stations 4, 5 and 6 classes are offered on the above day combos at 9 am, 10 am, 3 pm or 4 pm.
Lessons at Miraleste are broken down into 6 stations. Read below for a brief description on the skills. Use this information to determine which station to start your child/ren at this Summer. If you would like to schedule private lessons, text me at (424)901-3702.
Station 1 - Blowing Bubbles: Swimmers learn proper air exchange and how to blow bubbles beneath the surface of the water.
Station 2 - Front Float and Glide: Swimmers learn to front float while blowing bubbles; front glide off the wall and recover. Swimmer will also learn how to glide on their back with good balance.
Station 3 - Front Kick: Swimmers learn to front kick (alternating feet); glide and recover; dolphin kick (feet together); glide and recover; kick on their backs, glide and recover.
Station 4 - Side Glide: Swimmers learn side glide and sculling. Swimmers also begin to learn the rhythm between freestyle stroke, freestyle kick and breathing.
Station 5 - Freestyle: Swimmers learn swimming freestyle with long powerful strokes while kicking fast. The focus is to on perfecting side breathing.
Station 6 - Backstroke: Swimmers learn to tread water for 1 minute and to swim backstroke for 30 feet.
