Swim & Dive Practices


The Goodman Waves offer practice opportunities for swimmers and divers ages 5–18 of all ability levels. The goal of practice is to provide age-specific training that challenges and develops each individual to the best of their abilities. Practice is held at the Goodman Pool.
 

SWIM PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday

 

Silver : 13 and up 7:45am  9:15am
Royal : 11-12 9:00am  10:30am​
White : 9-10 10:00am  11:15am​
Purple : 8 and under 11:00am  noon



DIVE PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 

 

All Divers                             11:45  1:00pm

 

 


 

STROKE & TURN CLINIC

Tuesdays & Thursdays

 

Stroke & Turn clinics are supplementary to practice and emphasize a special technique (i.e. flip turns, butterfly kick, etc). While not mandatory, clinics are strongly recommended and are not intended to be a substitute to practice. Each week, coaches will focus on a different technique.

PRACTICE POLICY
​Swimmers and divers are encouraged to practice at least three times a week and swimmers should attend offered stroke clinics. The more practice, the better the results. Arriving on time to practice is important as many important announcements are given at the beginning of practice. 

Swimming is a great way to get and stay in shape. Swimming builds muscular strength and endurance, improves flexibility, as well as aerobic capacity, without joint stress. Swimming provides great exercise and is beneficial for cross-training for all sports. Diving also has great benefits to overall health. Most of all, both are fun!

Our expert coaches encourage making practice fun while helping swimmers and divers work on personal goals.
