 WELCOME 2021!!

We will be having a team this year and plan to start the season on May 3.  Practice times are listed  under the 2021 Practice time tab. All practices will be held at Rosemont High School on Kiefer Blvd.  In order to follow social distancing guidelines, there will be a combination of in pool swimming and dry land for most age groups (6 and under and the 7-8 year old age groups will be the exception).  In order to be on the swim team, your swimmer should be able to swim from one end of the pool to the other without assistance.  Starting in June, we will have swim meets with other teams. With distancing restrictions, these will most likely be virtual meets where each team will be at their home pool and the times will be combined.  We do require parents to volunteer at meets but do not worry about needing experience, we will teach you what you need to do.

The fees for the swim team are $220 per season plus a volunteers deposit of $125.  The deposit is usually given to us in the form of a check.  We will not deposit the check unless you do not meet the volunteering requirements.

Space on the team will be limited this year due to COVID-19 but we are hoping that new guidelines will allow additional swimmers.  Currently there is a waiting list but it is closed as we determine if there will be additional spaces available. If spaces open up, I will place a link here. If you are currently on the waiting list, you will receive an email from CRPD if you will be able to join. Openings will happen based on room in an age group not the overall number if people on the team.  Once you go to the page, clicking on the blue “more” link to the right side of the Blue Marlins interest list, then select the appropriate gender for your swimmer (boy of girl), then select the age group. Please note that the age group is based on your swimmer's age on June 1.

Registration is handled by the Cordova Recreation and Parks Department.  If you have registration related questions, you can contact them at (916) 369-9844.

If you have any general questions, you can use the "Contact Us" button on the Left side above the Marlin Logo to send an email to members of our Voluntary Parent Board.
